The Godfather: Conte Bans 4 Things at Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is not playing. The new Chelsea manager has laid down the law with a strict regime for the upcoming season at Stamford Bridge.

Conte officially took up the position as Blues boss last month, after guiding Italy to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.

But the man nicknamed “The Godfather” by his national team players has lived up to his stern reputation by overhauling the club’s nutritional and fitness regime.

According to The Times, Chelsea’s players will return to their Cobham training ground today following three weeks away on pre-season tour to discover four items have been struck off the menu.

All fizzy drinks and sauces have apparently been removed from the staff canteen, while post-match pizzas permitted by former managers have been banned.

Conte will allow salt and pepper to remain on the tables at Cobham but vinegar has been replaced by balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

The 47-year-old is also said to have brought in a new pre-match meal offering for his team, consisting of chicken and salad as opposed to the previous cereals, eggs and pasta choices.

Things are definitely spicing up at Stamford Bridge. - Express
